for the Hanley haters

All these negative opinions on Hanley have been built up by the impatient Miami fan who i see spending more time talking shit about the dolphins at the games as opposed to cheering them on.

Hanleys career with the Marlins has been one of the best performances weve seen one player do for one team in the past 5 years. His season last year was horrific, due to the fact that he was injured which is why he couldnt play a full season and practically didnt even get a chance to get into his "mid season" form.

Despite his horrible season, Hanley is still an above .300 career hitter for what team? The Marlins. Hes been on record claiming the new Mr. Marlin position and, when healthy, plays better than anyone in the league on both sides of the ball.

He's had some arguments during his stay, with who? Dan "King of Douchebaggery" Uggla and Fredi"bring out Renyel pinto for 3 innings to ruin every game" Gonzalez

Fact is, Hanley is the best player we've had the liberty to watch besides JJ (who hasnt put in a full season in years but when he does he can win the Cy young easily) Now that Reyes is here everyone is ready to let him go?

Isnt it Strange how when they were both healthy and playing full seasons, Hanley was ahead of Reyes in every category besides base stealing (which is understandable because he is smaller and faster) Every analyst put Hanley ahead of nearly any other player in the league before he got injured.

I agree with the move to third. Jose Reyes is more agile and has the ability to get to the ball faster than Hanley at shortstop. Its almost like the Lebron and Wade comparison, only in baseball being smaller gives you an advantage when fielding and running the paths.

It just boggles the mind to see the fans willing to let go of one of the best players in Baseball. It makes no sense.

I dont know why I gripe about this anyway. Ozzie Went on record multiple times this week saying that this is Hanleys team no matter who they sign. The Marlins have built one of the fastest most exciting teams in Baseball.

I'm ready for October. And we all know what happens when the Fish play in October.

Jose Reyes still looks like a predator monkey... but now hes our predator monkey.

Excuse the hiatus.

I apologize if it appears as if I have grown apathetic, this is not the case.

The fish have been doing great since last post. Specifically the pitching, but more specifically the bats.

But more specifically, the pitching. The Marlins "Big 3"(JJ, Nolasco, Anibal) have shown up this season and have significantly supported this squad for the matches to this point. Anibals no hit bid last night is just what he needed since his numbers seemed misleading due to his high K/BB ratio and ERA before the performance. Actually, he cut his ERA in half. Props to the Animal.

Ricky is another unsung hero. Putting in work every outing like he has to the best of his ability.

JJ is getting the Cy young this year. called it.

What is amusing is the presence of Stanton and the absence of Lomo, mirrors the earlier games where Logan Morrison played and Stanton was missing . Consequently, the bench has come in and filled in those holes quite nicely. Mid-Season form seems scary for the rest of the NL East. The fish are going to take the league by storm and they don't even see it coming.

DEFENSE?

Well, admittedly still not the strongest point despite the given evidence.

Its still early.

this is still the year.
